Here's a sneak peek at the businesses and crafters who have attended our Christmas Fair in previous years:

Allium Bespoke makes beautiful, contemporary textile gifts and home accessories. Based in the Holme Valley, Alison Marsden designs and hand makes each individual piece. With an emphasis on tactile textiles and 'pops' of colour, each item is unique.


Alpaca Little Knits create gorgeous gifts from their own alpacas here in West Yorkshire. They use beautiful packaging with a rustic feel.... perfect for Christmas.


Atlantic Ceramics is owned by Katherine Greenwell, a local ceramic designer and potter who makes carved, colour-washed ceramic maps in her cellar studio, conjuring the light and colours of the coast in her work. Katherine, who lives in Holmfirth, also makes hanging wall-vases, ceramic candle holders and seasonal ornaments.


The Austonley Soap Company are a family run business in Holmfirth producing luxurious soap and skin care products, many of which have been inspired by nature and the surrounding countryside. Every one of their products is hand made with care and love, to their own recipes, using natural, ethically sourced ingredients.


Carole Weathers makes a range of beautiful and distinctive beaded jewellery and Christmas decorations, in aid of the Neema Children's home in Kenya. She also makes 2 and 3 tier cake stands..... perfect for all the entertaining over the festive season and beyond!


Chocolate & Dreams is a local chocolatier producing bespoke handmade chocolate for all ages. Jill's lovely stall was perfect for picking up some delicious gifts for family and friends or indulging in a little treat for yourself. No wonder she sold out! As well as selling her lovely confectionery on the day Jill was also happy to take orders for Christmas.


Craft Tea Company were selling hand crafted loose tea blends, using 100% natural ingredients with no flavourings. Their unique blends, inspired by cocktails and cake, are packed with full on flavour that taste just as good as they smell. They are full of health benefits and blended with passion and creativi-tea here in Yorkshire!!


Dan Howarth is a local photographer, born and bred in Huddersfield, so he knows the area very well. His passion is landscape photography and he loves to capture the beauty of the local scenery. Dan is devoted to his craft and is out at all hours to capture our beautiful part of the world in all its glory. He sells landscape photography prints, cards and calendars, all of local landscapes.


Designs by Mia exhibited a beautiful range of contemporary silver jewellery at the Fair. Mia is a qualified and experienced silver and goldsmith, working as a designer/maker from her own workshop. All of her lovely pieces are uniquely hand crafted, making excellent gifts for Christmas. For that extra special something, Mia is also available for commissioned work.


FK Ceramics is owned by Fiona Kennett, a Fine Art Ceramic graduate from Bretton Hall Wakefield. Fiona, who lives in Netherthong, is very excited to be exhibiting her pottery at the fair and will happily demonstrate the processes involved in the production of her pots. Orders can be placed at the Fair for personalised gifts and an exciting range of Christmas inspired pots will be available to celebrate the start of the festive season.


Gill Wilde has been knitting since she was 10 years old. She hand knits a gorgeous array of accessories, both in festive brights and subtle tones, to suit all tastes: from cute hats adorned with knitted flowers, to beautiful berets and headbands, fingerless gloves, pretty corsages and lacy scarves. All Gill's profits are kindly donated to the Forget Me Not Children's Hospice.


Granary Knits makes gorgeous silver wire & gemstone jewellery and stitch markers. Sue has adapted a lifetime's experience of knitting with wool and silk to knitting with silver wire. She adds gemstone and glittering beads to produce truly unique items for you to give as a gift or keep for yourself. She welcomes custom orders and was very happy to chat to customers looking for something special.


Heart of Wood are based in Kirkheaton and create handmade wooden gifts using timber sourced from a local tree surgeon. One of a kind clocks and chopping boards are among their selection, as well as festive ornaments.


Holmemade design gorgeous home decor, greeting cards and gifts for all ages using beautiful card stock and fabrics. Many of Carole's creations can be personalised and all are lovingly crafted by hand, here in the Holme Valley. Her pretty stall was full of festive decorations and unique gifts for Christmas, from cute cushions for a toddler's nursery to pictures for your mum and lavender sachets for your nan!


Holmfirth Vineyard is 7 acres of vineyard with unrivaled, panoramic views of the Holme Valley. They were selling their three wines Red, Rose and White by the bottle and in presentation packages. You could also purchase gift certificates and vouchers for the restaurant.


Just Signing make individual hand painted signs, in a lovely rustic style, here in Holmfirth. As well as selling signs on the day they were very happy to take orders for personalised signs, for all those special occasions and for Christmas gifts with a personal touch.


Kate Griffin has lived in the stunning Holme Valley for over thirty years with her husband and family. She enjoys a sense of place and landscape which she captures beautifully in her work. Kate paints with both acrylic and watercolour and attends workshops run by Paul Talbot-Greaves. At the fair you could purchase both framed and unframed originals, as well as printed cards.


Mill House Designs is based in Meltham where Steph creates her colourful pieces in her home studio. With a passion for hand dyeing, knitting, weaving and spinning, Steph offers something to suit many individual tastes. Her handcrafted gifts include polymer clay jewellery, African fabric brooches and hand dyed silk scarves.


New Yorkshire Emporium sell Chilli Sauces, Spicy Pickles, Chilli Nuts and Stuff – all Homemade in Netherthong, Holmfirth.
Yorkshire lad, Guy, founder and chief sauce maker, has over 20 years of experience in the catering industry. He always crafts in small batches to ensure high quality, combining a smoky American barbecue experience with a bit of Yorkshire magic.



Plain Useful sells a range of traditional kitchen utensils, traditional cleaning brushes, useful gardening products and laundry care products.
Plain Useful sells things that are beautiful and useful that will make everyday chores more enjoyable. Some people have many things that do the same job - how much better to have one that does it just right.



Polly Doodle Designs create beautiful Memo Boards in an array of wonderful fabrics, both patterned and plain, as well as lampshades, cushions and fabric covered notebooks, diaries & address books. They can customise boards and also make cushions and lampshades to match. Their stall was a great place to visit for something a little bit different.


Shades of China sell some beautiful product ranges that make perfect Christmas gifts. Their stall included pottery, diffusers, cake tins, Willow Tree figures and much more.
Our favourites were the Starry Night Village Scene Mugs and tea towels by Sophie Allport and the Stag mugs from the Wrendale Range by Portmeirion, both very apt at Christmas.


The Cheese Shop are passionate about sourcing the best local, regional and world cheeses, which they had available to buy at the fair. They were also selling freshly baked quiches and delicious Thomas J. Fudge crackers and biscuits, perfect for nibbling, dipping and of course, topping with cheese!


The Chocolate Box delighted both young and old alike with their delicious selection of chocolate treats available at the fair. The only problem from their customers was saving their purchases until Christmas!


The Little Shop of Loveliness sell a fabulous range of children's toys, family gifts and accessories. At the fair they had a great display featuring many of their best sellers but also some exclusive items that they don't have room for in their Holmfirth shop.


Wood by NTP create unique hand-crafted wooden pieces from recycled Yorkshire wood, all lovingly made by born and bred Yorkshireman Neil. On their stall you could find fun little hand turned creatures and snowmen, beautiful rustic tealight holders, wooden stables for your nativity scene and dibbers for garden lovers.
